On October 7th, in response to the heinous terrorist attack on the settlements of southern Israel and neighboring cities, our terror alert teams swiftly mobilized, being among the first responders alongside IDF fighters in Sderot and the settlements of Otef. They engaged in tenacious and arduous confrontations against the terrorists, rescuing civilians, including children and women, amidst hostile fire. Undertaking complex operational tasks, they regrettably endured significant casualties. Our soldiers continue to valiantly battle across various sectors as you peruse these words. While divulging intricate operational details is presently untenable, it is noteworthy that our unit, in collaboration with the 669 soldiers, facilitated the evacuation of over 600 individuals since the inception of ground maneuvers. Moreover, they played a pivotal role in the operation to liberate hostages in Rafah. We ensure the provision of all necessary equipment commensurate with the prevailing circumstances, and we are presently acquiring resources to enhance their operational efficacy in the forthcoming months of combat.
